Quirino is a province of the Philippines located in the Cagayan Valley region on the island of Luzon. Its capital is Cabarroguis. The province is bordered by Aurora to the southeast, Nueva Vizcaya to the west, and Isabela to the north.
Quirino, before it was made into a seperate province used to be the forest region of the province of Nueva Vizcaya and was inhabited by tribal groups known as the Negritos. They roamed the area and built their huts at the heart of the jungle.
